TRAVEL TIPS TO CHEAP VACATION EXTRAORDINARY EXTRAMADURA SPAIN
Travel Tips to Cheap Vacation, Extraordinary Extramadura Spain
A traveler always passed by Extamadura going to Portugal. This place is seen as something – uninteresting by some. Perhaps they just lack the time to uncover and unwrap the gifts that Extramadura travel can bring to them.
There are three towns that you should acquaint yourself when you are in your Extamdura travel. These are Caceres, Merida, and Trujillo. Caceres’s highlight is the ciudad Monumental. The Romans legacy and ruins is what made Merida a shining jewel. Francisco Pizarro is very popular in Trujillo, the third town in Extramdura.
Caceres is a good town to start viewing old palatial houses, churches and squares. Yet, it was Merida’s treasure of roman ruins that took my heart away. I learned that it was once the largest and beautiful Roman city on the whole of Iberian Peninsula.
The church of Saint Eulalia, Alcazba and various museums collecting the relics and evidence from the past of the Romans and Visigoth are only some of the attractions in Merida.
Nightlife in Extramadura is also sizzling like in any other Spanish City. One good bar is the Taxi in Zafra. Do not be discourage by it shabby look. Once you get the feel of the bar, you will just love it. Tourists really do not go so far in this place but it was the best; the food is great and worth tasting.
Francisco Pizarro was one great conquistador in Extamadura. Following its footstep and century old career is very satisfying. Even a tourist who is not a historical buff would love to hear how one extraordinary boy became great and remembered in history.
For those who love to stay a while and would like to get to know Extramadura; they do not worry for Extramdura accommodations are just great for a globe trotter and experienced traveler.

Places to Go in Spain
Spain is always a good destination for a holiday destination but locating and finding a specific destination for that dreamt holiday vacation could a Herculean task. For those who got carried away from the overloaded information in the web about certain destinations indeed find themselves cheated of the true beauty of the Spanish land.
Barcelona Spain travel is indeed very beautiful and great city but the Spanish heritage does not end there. Parc Guell alone would satisfy a tourist thirst of architecture and history. Not to mention the world-known Picasso museum; Casa Mila and the Sagrada overwhelms anybody who gazes at them and those who knows the history behind each of these architecture or should I say the history in the making?
And if anyone would ask where in Spain that you want to go; of course most people would answer Madrid. The list of places of interest in Madrid Spain is endless. Casa de la Villa, Calle de Serrano, Calle de Hermosilla, Calle de Fuencarral to mention a few of the famous and most visited. And to the surprise of many Madrid accommodation is far more accommodating compared to the rest of the world which encourages more visitors per year.
Yet, we still got to dig for the secrets that Spain has not yet revealed. Your t5ravel does not end in Barcelona for it is only the beginning of Catalonia adventure that could end up discovering and knowing Valencia a few hours ride form Barcelona city. The colorful and vibrant port in Valencia is by far a favorite destination of many. Discover the why and the subtle charm that Valencia has.
Andalusia is always a mystery for some. Each day offers a new kind of excitement to those who had traveled on this region of Spain. But the sights that would be laid on your path is by far so many and magnificent for every tourists that has come to gaze at its splendor.

Madrid Spain is a premier destination in every Spain travel. Tourists are given a chance to feel the real Spanish culture in Madrid places of interests like Thyssen Bornemisza Museum, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina sofia, El Rastro, Puerta del sol, Museo del Prado and Paseo del Prado. Madrid has the most spectacular nightlife that you can ever experience in the whole of Europe.
Barcelona is famous for its Sagrada alone. Yet, the Las Ramblas is another place of interest that you should never miss. The showcase of local talents can be witnessed in these streets. A few walks away from the Las Ramblas are places of interests that you should not miss on your Barcelona travel.
San Sebastian travel is one travel that you should take on your lifetime. The quiet street and beautiful architecture and landscape is more than enough for you to handle. I would say then that the Basque county is a hub for beautiful Spain Beaches.
Canary Islands are one location to look for one magical moment when traveling. The Teide Canary Island, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Puerto de la Cruz, Las Palmas, Lanzarote, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and El Hierro would buckle your knees with awe and pleasure.
A fraction of Spain is too much for one traveler to handle, how much more if you set yourself for a travel in ALL Spanish destinations?

TOP 10 CALIFORNIA BEACH GETAWAYS
Top 10 California Beach Getaways
Plan a Weekend on the California Coast
At 840 miles long, California's coastline offers beach experiences as diverse as its colorful residents. From private coves perfect for sunbathing to family-friendly public sands complete with concessions, the Golden State has a beach that fits the bill for all its visitors. Here is a sampling of 10 of the best, each offering something different for weekend sun-seeking warriors.
Manchester State Beach, Point Arena
Where: The beach entrance is half a mile north of the town of Manchester on Highway 1.
The vibe: Friendly locals with wind-burned faces beachcombing the many miles of postcard-perfect beach.
Why it's popular: It's breathtakingly beautiful and never overcrowded. There are sandy dunes, grassy flatlands and piles of driftwood that have washed ashore.
Hint: In January and February, the nearby Garcia River is a mecca for local steelhead fishermen.
Rodeo Beach, Golden Gate National Recreation Area at Marin Headlands
Where: Just north of the Golden Gate Bridge on Highway 101, take the Sausalito exit and follow signs for Marin Headlands and the beach.
Why it's popular: Although swimming conditions aren't always ideal, it doesn't deter sun-worshippers, dog-walking and semi-precious stone hunters.
Hint: It's the only nude beach in the Marin Headlands that faces the Pacific Ocean.
Cowell's Beach, Santa Cruz
Where: Located on West Cliff Drive, near Bay Avenue.
The vibe: More than 15 volleyball courts means lots of athletic action (and buff eye-candy).
Why it's popular: It's a great spot to learn to surf -- the waves are small and locals aren't too territorial about sharing the ocean.
Hint: Park up the road by Depot Park for free.
Point Lobos State Reserve, Carmel Highlands
Where: Enter three miles south of Carmel on Highway 1.
The vibe: Fierce winds don't stop casual outdoor enthusiasts from wandering the coastal trails, snapping pics of tide pools, marine life and wildflowers. The Reserve has often been called "the crown jewel of the State Park System."
Why it's popular: Diving (both scuba and free) is available at Whalers and Bluefish Coves.
Hint: Visit during the spring when adult and baby harbor seals abound.
Asilomar State Beach, Pacific Grove
Where: From Highway 1, take Highway 68 west. Watch for signs to Asilomar Beach as you near Sunset Drive.
The vibe: Despite frequent fog, the 1-mile strip of sand is a favorite for tide-pooling, long walks, and windy al fresco wedding ceremonies.
Why it's popular: Dogs reign supreme. There is a leash law in effect, although few owners seem to abide.
Hint: There are no restroom facilities. If nature calls, walk across the street to the Asilomar Conference Grounds and act like you belong.
Cayucos State Beach, Cayucos
Where: Take Highway 1 to Cayucos at Cayucos Drive. Turn west toward the ocean -- the beach and pier are at the end of Cayucos Drive.
The vibe: In-the-know Californians regard this underrated beach town as one of the best getaways in the state.
Why it's popular: Probably best known for its pier -- it affords incredible views of the area, as well as sea lion and pilot whale sightings.
Hint: Cure your hangover at the annual polar bear dip -- it draws thousands annually on New Year's Day.
Rincon Beach, Santa Barbara
Where: Three miles east of Carpinteria adjacent to the Santa Barbara/Ventura County line. From Highway 101, take the Bates Road turn-off south to the park entrance.
The vibe: Surfers, surfers and more surfers.
Why it's popular: Widely considered one of the best surf spots on the Central Coast. Winter waves create a rocky shoreline, while summer currents create pleasant swimming conditions.
Hint: Arrive early on weekends to stake out prime sunning spots.
Dockweiler Beach, Los Angeles
Where: Located at the last western stop of Imperial Highway in Playa del Rey.
The vibe: Slightly surreal, attracting a social crowd. The beach is located under the flight path of nearby LAX.
Why it's popular: Not the most scenic of beaches, the three-mile shoreline is best known for its oceanfront entertaining options -- fire pits and barbecues abound.
Hint: It is one of the very few beaches in Los Angeles County that allows bonfires.
El Matador Beach, Los Angeles
Where: 32215 Pacific Coast Highway.
The vibe: Malibu's celebrity jet set and bathing beauties. It's a photo shoot favorite.
Why it's popular: Bodyboarders and bodysurfers love El Matador, because it boasts summer and winter swells. Kids love the tide pools.
Hint: It's a steep walk down several flights of stairs to reach this, making it, unfortunately, inaccessible for the handicapped.
Coronado Beach, San Diego
Where: From downtown San Diego, cross the Bay Bridge, travel several blocks on Third Street. Turn left onto Orange Avenue, then right onto R.H. Dana Place, which will take you to Ocean Boulevard.
The vibe: Families, locals and tourists alike frequent these friendly environs in droves.
Why it's popular: It's a 1-size-fits-all beach destination offering swimming, surfing, sailing, volleyball, kite flying or the option to laze and do absolutely nothing at all.
Hint: Park free on Ocean Boulevard, but plan to arrive early on summer weekends to beat the crowds.

BEACH HOUSE RENTALS
Beach House Rentals
Rent a Beach House at a Sublime Seaside Destination
by Terry Ward
beach house
Beach house rentals at Folly Beach, SC.
Whether your ideal summertime address is a pimped-out oceanfront palace on a sun-washed Florida isle or a veritable pile of driftwood washed atop a windswept North Carolina dune, the American beach house is a classic symbol of summer.
Go ahead -- leave nothing but footprints, fly a kite in the sand dunes and get the saltwater taffy tangled in your teeth. From the Outer Banks to the Oregon coast, we've sourced some of the best domestic destinations for booking a beach house on your own sandy slice of paradise.
Outer Banks, North Carolina
Like a delicate buttress loosely attached to the mainland, this string of barrier islands stretches 130 miles along the North Carolina coastline. And when it comes to the variety of beach rentals on offer, the options here are as varied as the seashells speckling the dune-lined shores. If you're looking to live like a millionaire with your toes in the sand, the communities of Whalehead, Corolla and Duck, in the northern Outer Banks, are studded with huge beach houses set just beyond the dunes. Some rental homes boast as many as 12 bedrooms, oceanfront pools and hot tubs, in-home theaters and other luxuries. All have unparalleled access to the region's isolated wide sandy beaches. Kitty Hawk is a good place to base yourself if you want to be close to restaurants, shopping, the pier and the famed sand dunes at Jockey's Ridge. To immerse yourself in the Outer Banks' laid-back wave-riding culture, opt for a rental farther south in the seaside surf community of Rodanthe on Hatteras Island.
Vinalhaven, Maine
As long as icy water temperatures don't intimidate you, this spectacularly rugged fishing island located 15 miles off the coast of Maine makes a wonderful beach-rental destination. It's not about turquoise seas and bathtub-warm bathing at Vinalhaven -- the island's appeal comes in the form of an altogether more rugged beach experience. There are isolated coves to explore by kayak on the 23-mile-square island, a few windblown beaches and even freshwater inland quarries for swimming. Sitting on the deck of your beach house, taking in views of the lobster buoys and seals bobbing offshore and the commanding coastline, you'll feel completely isolated from mainland America and any associated stress.
Folly Beach, South Carolina
A stone's throw from one of America's greatest foodie cities -- Charleston, SC -- Folly Beach offers easy access to the sophisticated Southern city, with the bonus of key organic beach getaway ingredients -- sublime sandy beaches, swaying palmettos, warm Atlantic waters and a wholesome family vibe. From vintage wooden bungalows on sandy side streets to blinged-out houses that conjure the Hamptons more than South Carolina, the island's beach rental offerings run the gamut. Opt for a house that's built up rather than out -- with living rooms, kitchens and master bedrooms on the top floors -- to make the most of the ocean views. There's even a decent surf break at Folly, making it a favorite among South Carolina surfers.
Cannon Beach, Oregon
Winter along the Oregon coastline is prime for storm watching, and you'll find endless possibilities for quiet walks along largely abandoned beaches. But come summer, the oceanfront bungalows in Cannon Beach fill with vacationers keen to soak up the sunshine -- usually accompanied by a chilly Pacific breeze -- in one of America's most artsy beach towns. Available for weekly rentals, cottages (some on a very grand scale) accessed by bumpy gravel lanes and crowned with cedar-shingle roofs are idyllic beach abodes. And Cannon Beach delivers a heady cocktail of rugged nature -- it's impossible to miss the imposing rocky monoliths, including Haystack Rock, just offshore -- blended with smart art galleries and eclectic cafes that give the town across-the-board appeal. While in the area, be sure to check out nearby Ecola State Park, where spruce forests back beautiful beaches and migrating whales hug the coastline in the winter and spring.
Sanibel & Captiva Islands, Florida
Floridians have long upheld the mantra that Sunshine State summers are insufferable -- all the better to keep the beaches to themselves outside of the main tourist months. The truth? As long as you're oceanfront in Florida, the summertime heat is entirely manageable. Plus, the state positively bristles with beach rentals, everything from towering penthouse condominiums with sweeping ocean views to romantic hideaways on Panhandle islands. Planning your summer beach escape for the Gulf Coast sister islands of Sanibel & Captiva, just south of Naples, allows you the chance to say goodbye to your car and explore by bike or scooter for the week. The islands have reached cult status among shell collectors -- you'll see them doing the "Sanibel Stoop," hunching over at low tide to collect natural treasures in the form of conchs, whelks and angel wings. Put a visit to the J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on your list of activities, where a fabulous wildlife circuit (accessible by bike, foot or car) puts you in close proximity to amazing birdlife and a few resident alligators, too.

THE WORLD'S SMALLEST CONTINENT SERVES THE BIGGEST SWELLS SURF AUSTRALIA
The World's Smallest Continent Serves the Biggest Swells
by Erica Walsh
Surrounded by the Indian and Pacific Oceans, Australia is home to some of the biggest surf on the planet. The East, South and West Coasts all offer slightly different swells, so whether you're new to the ride or looking for the green room, Australia is guaranteed to provide the perfect surfing vacation.
East Coast
Australia's East Coast is home to legendary Kirra Point and Burleigh Heads. Amateurs and pros alike can be seen paddling out into the swells off Queensland and New South Wales. The most consistent waves come during the winter months, May through August. The East Coast definitely has the best conditions for surfing, so if that's the reason you're heading down under, this is the place for you.
What better place to start than the aptly named Surfer's Paradise? The beach is unrivaled when it comes to surfing conditions. It's on the Pacific coast, where the waters are warm and filled with waves for every skill level. Surfer's Paradise also offers an array of nighttime activities including bars, restaurants and shopping. Click here for Surfer's Paradise travelers' information -- from hanging ten to happy hour.
Kirra Point is the Gold Coast's most infamous beach, producing challenging waves for the experienced surfer as well as “ankle busters” for beginners. The Point is less than one mile from the Gold Coast airport, has plenty of accommodations and even offers some fantastic diving opportunities if you need a day off the board. The Oceanway offers beautiful walking and viewing platforms for those who prefer dry land.
Located between Coolangatta and Surfer's Paradise, Burleigh Heads is home to some fantastic Gold Coast swells. This is the place for those with a little more skill and we recommend visiting during the week to avoid the thick weekend crowds. While tourists may flock to Surfer's Paradise, those in the know hit the point breaks at Burleigh -- close to Brisbane and with easy public access from the main road.
Located off the Gold Coast at the southern end of Moreton Bay, Stradbroke Island is one of the world's largest sand islands. Stradbroke (Straddie to the locals) is prone to swells from the southeast called cylinders that break on the northeast corner of the island. Get to Straddie by hopping a ferry or water taxi from the Brisbane suburb of Cleveland.
South Coast
The main surfing areas on the South Coast are located along Great Ocean Road. April through October offer the best conditions, but make sure you bring a wetsuit -- the southern seas are much colder than the balmy East Coast.
Along Torquay's coastline, surfers can enjoy the swells at Bells Beach, Jan Juc and Anglesea. In addition to many righteous beaches, Torquay is home to some supreme beach culture. At Surf City Plaza, the biggest names in surf retail sell everything from SPF to long boards. You can brush up on the history of surfing at Surfworld Museum.
Bells Beach could be Australia's most iconic surf spot. Its waves are long, fat and fast -- the trifecta of swell conditions. The waves filter up the South Coast and break over several sections of reefs in the bay, including Centerside Rincon, Outside Bells and Bells Bowl. Bells Beach is a living piece of surf history and shouldn't be missed on any trip to Australia's South Coast.
At Jan Juc beach, the conditions are a bit more extreme. The rips and exposed beaches can make surfing here a bit dangerous, especially for beginners. Prior to your trip, read up on beach and ocean conditions as well as safety information at the Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club.
West Coast
You can catch plenty of swells throughout the year on Australia's West Coast, but it's a bit more extreme than the picturesque surfari on Australia's East Coast. Crowds are less of a factor than at Queensland and New South Wales locations, but that certainly doesn't mean the West Coast's spots aren't popular.
Scarborough Beach in Perth has some beautiful white-sand surf beaches along the Indian Ocean. It's centrally located and close to both Trigg and Brighton beaches. There's easy public transportation to Scarborough, whose best surfing conditions are early in the morning.
Heading north towards Perth, you'll come across some great breaks -- but some say the coast's true potential is blocked by the presence of Rottnest Island. Breaks and swells have to get around the island in order to reach Perth, but when they do, the surfing is sweet and perfect for all levels. If you're feeling truly adventurous, leave the safety of the mainland for Rottnest. The island's Strickland Bay has been ranked in the top 50 breaks in the world. Waves off Rottnest can be 2 to 3 feet larger than at Perth, so if you're looking to ride some pounders before heading home, this island should definitely be on your must-surf list.
